Labor/Contacts for Classification
The Labor/Contacts section of the Related Info tab lists the labor resources and contacts associated with the asset classification. All Labor/Contact records listed will be automatically added to any newly created asset of this classification. This ensures that individuals with particular expertise are automatically assigned to work on specific assets. In addition, contacts can be maintained for general reference.
Field Descriptions
The following fields are displayed in the Labor/Contacts List:
-
Name, Type, and Work Phone: Name of the labor resource or contact, type of contact (employee, contractor, contact, or requester) and work phone number.
-
Repair Center: Repair Center with which the labor resource or contact is associated.
-
Priority: Priority of labor resources listed.
-
Auto-Assign?: Indicates whether or not the labor resource should be auto-assigned when a work order is generated for an associated asset. Multiple labor resources can be defined for auto-assignment.
Auto-assignments automatically propagate to all child records below the asset node. If a labor resource is designated for auto-assignment, he or she will be auto-assigned to all work orders generated on child assets that do not have their own auto-assignment specified.
-
Backup Resource?: Indicates whether or not the labor resource should be a backup resource for the associated asset. If the backup resource is also listed for auto-assignment, the backup resource will only be auto-assigned if there is not another labor resource available for auto-assignment.
